Transitional phrases are usually found at the beginning of a sentence. You can also use transitional phrases between sentence parts and within parts of sentences. A proper paragraph is organized around four major elements: (1) topic sentence (2) introduction (3) body and (4) conclusion. A sentence is a group of words consisting of at least a subject and a predicate, and expresses a complete idea. For the final draft of the essay, rewrite your notes as complete, grammatically correct sentences.
